Jon Shoffstall

I feel extremely fortunate to be the principal of Ocean Studies Charter School, bringing over two decades of experience in education. I spent my first ten years in education as a physical education teacher and varsity sports coach (soccer, basketball, and track & field) before transitioning into school administration. Prior to leading Ocean Studies Charter School, my leadership roles included serving as an assistant principal in Piqua City Schools, Ohio, principal at Wren Middle School in South Carolina and Dubai American Academy in the United Arab Emirates. At Ocean Studies, I am dedicated to fostering a student-centered environment that connects learning directly to real-world experiences.
