Kerri Huffman

I am beginning my 5^th year as an ESE paraprofessional here at Ocean Studies where I have the privilege of supporting students in their learning, with a primary focus on mathematics.  I am passionate about learning each student's learning style to help them build confidence, develop new skills, and recognize their own potential.  I am also currently a student at the University of Central Florida, completing my ESE certification to further my education and professional development in the field of exceptional student education.  

Eight years ago, I moved to Key Largo from west central Illinois with my husband of 27 years and our two children-now a 22-year-old daughter and a 19-year-old son.  Now that we are empty nesters, my husband and I enjoy more traveling in our RV with our two very spoiled dogs.  I also enjoy spending weekends out on our boat and visiting Disney World whenever we can.

When I'm not working or studying, you can usually find me enjoying a good cup of coffee and exploring local thrift shops.  I love finding the balance between supporting students in the classroom, continuing to grow professionally, and enjoying the adventures and experiences that life has to offer.
