About

Kevin Ferger

This is my second year teaching Middle School Math at Ocean Studies.  Prior to being a teacher I worked with ESE students at Ocean Studies and in Catonsville, Maryland.  I was a para-educator in Maryland and at Coral Shores High School and Ocean Studies. I have also worked as an adult assistant and a substitute teacher.  For almost 20 years I worked for Coca-Cola in and around Washington, DC and Northern Virginia.

I have a B.S. in Human Resource Management from the University of Maryland, College Park and I am certified to teach math grades5-9.

I love teaching and working with the students.  I was drawn to Ocean Studies because of the field labs and the access the students have to learning outside the classroom.  It is truly an experience most students will never receive.

I moved to Key Largo from Maryland 2.5 years ago.  I am married to my wife Suzy and have two boys Cole (12th grade) and Rory (9th grade) at Coral Shores High School.  We also have two dogs Finnegan and Jax.  I love playing sports.  I have played lacrosse for over 30 years and I won a National Championship in 1998 with the University of Maryland Club Team.  I enjoy scuba diving and proposed to my wife underwater on her 50th dive.
