Stefanie Neylon

Hello! My name is Ms. Stef. I am SO grateful to be a teacher here at Ocean Studies! I went to college at Governors State University where I majored in elementary education. I also completed my master's degree in educational technology at the American College of Education. I have taught for three years in Chicago and am going on my third year of teaching here at Ocean Studies. The best part of teaching is watching my students grow—not only academically, but also as kind, confident, and compassionate individuals. I love creating a classroom where students feel supported, encouraged, and excited to learn. Seeing their progress, celebrating their accomplishments, and watching them develop important personal and social skills is what makes teaching so rewarding. My goal is to help every student become the best version of themselves, both inside and outside of the classroom. When I'm not teaching, you can find me spending time with my wonderful family and friends, walking in nature, or enjoying our beautiful ocean!
