Taylor Nyman

Hi! I’m Taylor Nyman, and I teach 1st and 2nd grade in the Dolphins classroom at Ocean Studies Charter School. I have lived in the Keys my whole life, and I feel so lucky to teach in the community that raised me. I recently completed my Lower Elementary Montessori certification and am excited to continue growing in my education and as a teacher.

I have always loved working with children, but becoming a teacher has shown me just how much I love watching children grow, not only in their learning, but also in their confidence and independence. I love Montessori learning because it gives our students the opportunity to learn through hands-on experiences, spark their curiosity, and develop confidence. One of my favorite things about Ocean Studies is that learning extends outside of our classroom and into our community. It is so special to watch our students explore and learn about the environment and community they call home.

Outside of school, I am a mom to two girls and love spending time with my family. I also enjoy baking, gardening, and being active. I’m so happy to be part of the Ocean Studies family and love making learning fun, meaningful, and memorable with Ms. Stacey and our Dolphins!
